Share experience in HPLC-to-UHPLC method transfer to improve productivity
Over the past few years, there has been tremendous interest in approaches to speed up and/or increase the resolving power of the analytical separation process, particularly with the development of columns packed with porous sub-2 µm particles used in very high pressure conditions (namely UHPLC, for ultra high pressure liquid chromatography). Many laboratories want to transition some of their conventional HPLC methods to fast UHPLC methods, but their lack of experience sometimes acts as a deterrent to trying.

Children's products, from plates and cups to mattress liners and diapers and toys, are made of plastic, as a result of its low cost and durability. The manufacture of plastic products often includes additives which are intended to modify the physical properties of the polymer. Common additives are plasticizers, antioxidants and flame retardants. Rapid quantitation of aflatoxins in corn by HPLC with Kobra Cell derivatization and fluorescence detection
Very low level detection of mycotoxins in agricultural products has become increasingly important. Mycotoxins are very resistant fungal metabolites that can remain in foods after processing and, sometimes, even after cooking. They are considered potent carcinogens and can be found in many varieties of foods. Of the mycotoxin class, aflatoxins are considered especially harmful, being both acutely and chronically toxic. Aflatoxin B1 and B2 are some of the most potent hepatocarcinogens known. Along with aflatoxins G1 and G2, even extremely low levels of these aflatoxins in the diet are important public-health concerns.
